Base Salary
$110k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess business and technical needs, software gaps, requirements, risks, and change requests.
- Create user stories, detailed software designs, functional logic, and scalable software components.
- Design and implement React, Next.js, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Kafka-based applications and microservices.
- Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, and service registry technologies.
- Troubleshoot application defects, performance and availability bottlenecks, logs, maintenance data, and production issues.
- Implement telemetry, application metrics, Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus monitoring dashboards.
- Develop automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for testing and other repetitive engineering processes.
- Create test strategies and cases, select testing tools, execute tests, and perform regression testing.
- Implement FHIR-compliant web services and patient and provider technologies.
- Support production deployments through ServiceNow processes, including CRQ creation, approvals, documentation, and rollout execution.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and two years of experience in software engineering or a related area; or bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of those areas and four years of experience.
- Experience designing and implementing web applications with React.js, Next.js, and Node.js.
- Experience developing backend microservices with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, and service registry technologies.
- Experience with REST API web services using Java and FHIR-compliant web services.
- Experience implementing patient and provider technologies.
- Experience developing Kafka event-based microservices and monitoring dashboards with Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Maven, GitHub, Sonar, and Snyk.
- Experience with production deployment using ServiceNow processes, including CRQ creation, council approvals, documentation, and rollout execution.
