Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design high-level software architecture for vehicle integration and test operations.
- Build scalable, reusable software testing infrastructure for component, integrated, production, and multi-generation vehicle test campaigns.
- Coordinate with multiple engineering teams and integrate ground and flight software into test infrastructure.
- Refine electrical-engineering specifications to validate critical flight components.
- Implement ground-control and telemetry software.
- Support development from proposal through successful test and flight.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent background knowledge.
- At least five years of relevant experience.
- At least two years of experience with Python or another high-level object-oriented scripting language.
- At least two years of experience with Linux and shell command-line tools.
- At least two years of experience with version-control systems such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
- Hands-on design and development experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience reading schematics and data sheets and debugging circuits that interface with embedded software using tools from debuggers to logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Web development framework and database experience is a bonus.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required for compliance with U.S. Government space-technology export regulations.
