Base Salary
$155k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute load, stress, endurance, spike, and benchmarking tests across UI, API, and back-end layers.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks across Linux, enterprise networking, AWS, SaaS, and on-premise environments.
- Create Python or Java utilities, custom scripts, and automated performance tests.
- Embed automated performance guardrails into CI/CD pipelines to identify regressions.
- Use AI tools and agentic frameworks to accelerate test-case generation and create scalable no-code test harnesses.
- Analyze system metrics, logs, and telemetry and translate findings into optimization strategies and architectural improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus five years of related experience, master’s degree plus three years, PhD plus zero years, or equivalent related work experience.
- Expertise in performance testing methodologies and tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, or LoadRunner, including UI performance auditing.
- Proficiency in Python or Java for utility creation, custom scripting, and test automation.
- Experience with SaaS and on-premise environments, Linux/Unix operating systems, AWS cloud infrastructure, and Splunk.
- Strong understanding of core networking concepts and protocols.
- Applied experience with AI tools and agentic AI approaches is preferred.
- AWS certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer, is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Grafana is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, ownership, drive, and attention to detail are preferred.
