Responsibilities
- Design Snowflake schemas, optimize SQL queries, and build ETL pipelines with incremental refresh and caching strategies.
- Develop Python backend web services, APIs, and data-processing automation.
- Build analytics reports and dashboards that present actionable People Analytics insights.
- Operate Linux servers and production services over SSH, including reverse-proxy deployments and troubleshooting of processes, networking, filesystems, and performance.
- Build and deploy containers and troubleshoot container networking, storage, and runtime issues.
- Use agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code to design, build, test, review, and ship software.
- Validate data and system behavior against live systems and identify incorrect outputs or unsound implementation patterns.
- Protect sensitive employee data using row-level security, data-access restrictions, and privacy-aware practices.
- Own delivery end to end, make implementation decisions independently, and manage shifting priorities while maintaining data accuracy.
- Partner with global colleagues and senior business leaders to define metrics, present findings, explain caveats, and provide actionable insights.
Requirements
- Deep experience with SQL and Snowflake, including schema design, query optimization, ETL, incremental refresh, and caching.
- Python experience with backend web services, APIs, and data-processing automation.
- Hands-on Linux server operations, including SSH, long-lived services, reverse proxies, and system troubleshooting.
- Container image build and deployment experience, including networking, storage, and runtime troubleshooting.
- Daily production experience with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code and reviewing generated code for edge cases and incorrect results.
- Experience developing and maintaining analytics products, reports, dashboards, and dashboard visualizations.
- Experience handling employee or other sensitive personal data with row-level security and access restrictions.
- Proven autonomy, end-to-end ownership, stakeholder communication, and ability to operate with senior leaders.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be fully considered.
- Familiarity with Flask or FastAPI, NumPy, pandas, data science and statistical analysis techniques, and Model Context Protocol servers is preferred.
- Experience with shared data platforms, centrally owned pipelines, consistent metric definitions, and direct collaboration with senior business leaders is preferred.
