Responsibilities
- Architect and scale backend systems supporting high-throughput LLM interactions, vector search, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Integrate AI infrastructure across model providers, data stores, and internal APIs.
- Own reliability and observability while evolving PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and job orchestration systems.
- Prototype retrieval pipelines, caching layers, and asynchronous task queues.
- Ship quickly, contribute to product decisions, and help shape the engineering culture.
Requirements
- Based in NYC and available to work in person five days per week.
- Excitement about the intersection of AI infrastructure and systems design.
- Experience leading projects end to end.
- Willingness to contribute to product decisions.
- Proficiency with Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Bonus experience with retrieval, embeddings, or prompt orchestration.
- Bonus experience building internal infrastructure or developer tools at startups.
