Base Salary
$170k - $241k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable ML frameworks for large-scale model training.
- Analyze and optimize distributed training performance, resource utilization, cost, and data-loading performance across heterogeneous hardware.
- Improve system observability, debuggability, operational excellence, and user experience.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers, research scientists, and cross-functional partners to integrate new platform features and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or an equivalent major, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of specialized AI/ML infrastructure experience, such as enabling distributed training for large ML models.
- Strong Python programming skills and proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with distributed computing, GPU computing, and AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
- Preferred qualifications include extensive PyTorch 2.x+ and distributed-training experience, FSDP and pipeline parallelism experience, and experience optimizing training and data-loading performance.
- Willingness to travel to Sunnyvale, California as needed and ability to work in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
