Responsibilities

  • Design, provision, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform across networking, security, compute, storage, and managed services.
  • Develop and manage Databricks workspaces, clusters, policies, jobs, libraries, and integrations for production data workloads.
  • Build Python or Java automation and platform integrations to reduce manual operational work.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Terraform and platform deployments, including policy checks and automated testing.
  • Implement least-privilege access, secrets management, encryption, network segmentation, and auditability.
  • Improve reliability through logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, performance optimization, and cost optimization.
  • Translate requirements into scalable platform designs and document standards, patterns, and runbooks.
  • Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while following secure and responsible AI practices.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience provisioning AWS infrastructure with Terraform, including modules, remote state, workspace and environment management, and change-management workflows.
  • Experience with AWS services including VPC, IAM, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, KMS, CloudWatch, and load balancing.
  • Working experience administering Databricks or supporting production Databricks workloads.
  • Proficiency in Python or Java for automation, tooling, and platform integrations.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices for infrastructure and platform delivery.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and data or platform pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically validate their outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Preferred: experience with Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, Athena, data governance, AWS certifications, or regulated-industry platforms.
