Responsibilities
- Lead the design and governance of DevOps strategies, CI/CD approaches, and enterprise delivery pipelines.
- Architect and oversee implementation of Azure cloud, infrastructure, and platform solutions aligned with client strategies.
- Define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, security controls, governance, and DevOps practices across Azure environments.
- Provide technical leadership from requirements and architecture through delivery oversight, operational handover, and transition.
- Design Azure solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, resilience, security, compliance, and performance.
- Lead technical assessments and cloud adoption strategies for customers moving to Azure.
- Design Azure networking and enterprise connectivity architectures, including Hub-Spoke, ExpressRoute, VPN, and network security.
- Conduct architectural and technical reviews and ensure operational readiness through monitoring and observability.
- Mentor and develop analysts, consultants, and other technical team members.
- Support pre-sales through solution shaping, workshops, estimations, proposals, technical solutioning, and client presentations.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and leading DevOps strategies using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and enterprise CI/CD platforms.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code and automation using Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
- Strong architectural knowledge of Azure platform services, enterprise cloud migration, security, identity, and governance.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering complex Azure IaaS and PaaS infrastructure and platform solutions.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, observability, and operational readiness.
- Experience designing high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and resilience strategies using Azure-native services.
- Strong experience with Azure networking and enterprise connectivity, including Hub-Spoke, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, and next-generation firewalls.
- Experience with Kubernetes technologies, including Azure Kubernetes, is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID, RBAC, identity governance, and Zero Trust security principles.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, architecture oversight, decision-making, mentoring, and client engagement with senior stakeholders and executives.
- Ability to translate business strategy into technical architecture and delivery roadmaps and communicate through documentation and executive presentations.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect certifications are highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, information technology, or a related area, and/or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or DevOps roles, including architecture and leadership responsibilities.
- Australian citizenship is required, along with willingness to obtain security clearance.
- Willingness to travel interstate when required for project needs.
