Base Salary
$190k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain user experiences for external and internal customers.
- Develop and maintain business-critical foundational services that serve as the platform's data funnel.
- Improve complex processes and systems to increase robustness and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to share knowledge and build expertise.
- Own domains within the system and make informed engineering tradeoffs.
- Advocate for and improve internal and external user experiences.
- Direct AI agents across prototyping, implementation, debugging, and code review.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering work and improve code quality through AI-driven review.
- Mentor engineers and review code deeply.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience building and maintaining software in production.
- Desire to work with Node, TypeScript, Kotlin, React, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor.
- Strong communication skills with engineers and non-engineers.
- Desire to learn, think creatively, and share knowledge.
- Interest in mentoring engineers and conducting deep code reviews.
- Proactive and empathetic approach to solving customer problems.
- Past experience working in startups and/or fintech is valued.
