Responsibilities
- Monitor and verify daily SAS product build processes.
- Support and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to ensure successful and timely build execution and delivery.
- Troubleshoot build failures, analyze logs, identify root causes, and perform remediation for build and environment issues.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Create, maintain, and update build configuration files.
- Create and track issues using Jira or other issue-tracking tools and follow through to resolution.
- Maintain build-related documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to support reliable build operations and identify process-improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in Build Engineering, Build Support, DevOps Support, Release Engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows Server environments and command-line interfaces.
- Scripting experience with Unix/Linux shell, Windows Batch, and PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with Python and/or Java, Groovy, and Ant.
- Hands-on experience supporting Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with build automation, software build processes, configuration files, and build files including XML and YAML.
- Experience with GitHub for source code management and build integration.
- Working knowledge of Gerrit and code review workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, log-analysis, communication, documentation, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and source code management practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
