Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance, fault-tolerant connector integrations and adapters for mission-critical workflows.
- Architect cloud-native distributed microservices and multi-tenant SaaS systems.
- Build and optimize data pipelines using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, webhooks, and synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven patterns.
- Drive technical decisions, contribute to RFCs and architectural reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and operational practices for deployed systems.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and SRE teams to deliver features, resolve production incidents, and improve reliability.
- Apply code reviews, testing strategies, security hardening, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to platform infrastructure and developer experience initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years designing and building large-scale distributed backend systems with high-throughput and low-latency requirements.
- 5+ years working with multi-tenant SaaS architectures in production, including tenant isolation, rate limiting, and resource management.
- Proven ability to drive system design, participate in architectural decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and production incident diagnosis skills for distributed systems.
- Deep experience with microservices architecture, service decomposition, API design, and inter-service communication.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure and familiarity with Kubernetes and serverless patterns.
- Expert-level Java experience, including object-oriented programming, concurrency, performance tuning, memory management, and the Java ecosystem.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, message brokers, event streaming, SQL, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Linux, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, self-direction, and data-driven decision-making skills.
