Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, development, and QE teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Design, write, and maintain detailed test cases and scenarios for testing.
- Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved without regressions.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback on product quality and risks.
- Work with automation engineers to identify test scenarios for automation.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to test process improvements.
- Support release activities by executing regression suites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Manual Test Engineer or Quality Engineer.
- Strong experience in manual testing of web applications.
- Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases and plans.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like JIRA or Azure.
- Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries.
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman.
- Exposure to cross-browser testing tools and mobile testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
