Base Salary
$163k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate AI-powered Growth experiences for onboarding and lifecycle engagement.
- Own the technical strategy and implementation of an AI Voice Agent, including workflows, backend integrations, safety controls, and production evaluation loops.
- Build and scale AI-driven email systems using ACE, including generation workflows, orchestration, experimentation, quality controls, and iteration.
- Partner with Product, Data, Design, Marketing, and Platform teams to identify Growth opportunities and ship improvements to acquisition, activation, and conversion.
- Design reliable APIs, backend services, and frontend experiences for personalized onboarding, communications, workflow automation, and customer journeys.
- Establish applied-AI engineering practices covering prompt design, tool integration, evaluation-driven iteration, observability, and safe rollouts.
- Guide architectural decisions for conversational systems, outbound communications, and supporting platform capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and raise standards for technical execution, product quality, and responsible AI use.
Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of software development experience building and shipping customer-facing product experiences at scale.
- Experience building and owning full-stack systems, including frontend applications, backend APIs, and production services.
- Experience with Growth-related areas such as onboarding, communications, workflow automation, CRM, lifecycle marketing, or customer journey systems.
- Applied AI experience with prompt design, tool integration, conversational experiences, content generation systems, or evaluation-driven iteration.
- Experience owning multi-quarter initiatives that address ambiguous engineering problems and deliver measurable customer or business impact.
- Strong product and engineering judgment balancing experimentation speed with quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering and business stakeholders on customer experience and funnel-performance decisions.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and scaling team impact.
- Experience in or interest in Ruby on Rails is preferred.
- Ability to build maintainable, well-documented code and communicate effectively across engineering teams and business stakeholders.
