Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and deployment of scalable software using Python and React in alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Design and implement agentic systems using the Vertex AI Agent SDK and A2A protocol.
- Build and maintain Model Context Protocol servers connecting core IT data with LLM-driven applications.
- Guide engineering adoption of Agentic IDEs to accelerate delivery and refactoring.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers across full-stack and AI domains.
- Own project outcomes and ensure solutions are delivered on time and meet quality, scalability, and performance standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes and lifecycle practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
- At least 8 years of related experience and 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Expertise building fault-tolerant microservice architectures with Python and Django or FastAPI.
- Demonstrated frontend development expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Expert-level proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes, including GKE.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade software from concept through deployment.
- Preferred: experience with Google Cloud Platform and Google Vertex AI.
- Preferred: knowledge of Agent SDK, A2A protocols, and Model Context Protocol server implementation.
- Preferred: professional experience using Agentic IDEs such as Cursor or Windsurf.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
