Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable, performant, and scalable cash portfolio application components.
- Build and deploy production-grade software using Java, Spring technologies, React, cloud-native technologies, and emerging GenAI capabilities.
- Lead resolution of complex design, performance, integration, and technical problems across major project phases.
- Own end-to-end delivery of functional and non-functional system features.
- Collaborate with business analysts, technical architects, engineering teams, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into sustainable software solutions.
- Conduct code and design reviews and provide technical guidance aligned with architectural and performance standards.
- Write and review unit, integration, and automated tests while improving test automation, coverage, resilience, and maintainability.
- Contribute to and help lead agile delivery activities including standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience building scalable, high-performance, multi-tier applications.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying distributed systems and scalable microservices with Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Frontend development experience with React, Node.js, HTML5, JavaScript or TypeScript, and JSON.
- Strong knowledge of relational SQL/RDBMS data stores.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and production support.
- Ability to analyze complex business and technical problems and lead robust, high-performance software delivery.
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts and practical use of AI-enabled tools such as Copilot or similar tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and effective collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Minimum five years of experience in the financial services domain, including front-office applications.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
