Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance Java backend services using Spring Boot.
- Guide and mentor team members developing, testing, and deploying microservices.
- Analyze user requirements and define system objectives and application functionality.
- Write testable, standards-compliant code and conduct software analysis, testing, and debugging.
- Troubleshoot production and environmental issues with QA, application support, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare software releases and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
- Participate in user-story grooming and sprint planning.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on Java backend development experience, including 2 years working with microservices architecture.
- Advanced proficiency in Java and strong experience with Spring Boot.
- Expertise designing and implementing microservices and RESTful web APIs with Spring REST.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases such as Oracle RDBMS and MySQL.
- Proficiency with Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, GitLab, Docker, and Hibernate.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
- Preferred experience optimizing backend performance and scalability and understanding security best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is desired.
- Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE, Pivotal Certified Spring Professional, or microservices architecture certification is desired.
