Responsibilities
- Own identity features end-to-end, from problem definition and architecture through deployment, production reliability, and measuring user impact.
- Build and maintain reliable, maintainable authentication and authorization systems for internal and external users at scale.
- Lead incident response, production operations, on-call practices, monitoring, testing, and improvements to operational health.
- Collaborate with Identity, adjacent product teams, Product Management, Support, and other engineers on design, scoping, and technical problem-solving.
- Use pragmatic technology choices and AI-powered tools for boilerplate code, test generation, and debugging.
Requirements
- Deep expertise designing scalable backend systems and distributed architectures, including high-scale distributed systems in production.
- Strong system design skills and the ability to reason about failure modes, system boundaries, architecture, and high availability.
- Strong C# and .NET expertise; the role is approximately 80–90% backend-focused.
- Interest in or understanding of B2B SaaS identity domains, including authentication, SSO, OIDC, authorization, security, and auditing.
- Ownership of production operations, incident response, on-call, comprehensive testing, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
- Frontend experience with React and JavaScript is welcome but not required.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude is valued.
