Responsibilities
- Own a primary platform area while contributing across backend services, frontend tooling, AI orchestration, smart contracts, policy logic, and data infrastructure.
- Design, build, and operate end-to-end production components from technical discovery through deployment.
- Architect event-driven systems using Kafka, containerized deployments, and resilient distributed-system patterns.
- Lead technical discovery and rapid prototyping to validate capabilities before production development.
- Establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and engineering practices for a maintainable codebase.
- Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and promote technical rigor.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into working systems.
- Communicate technical strategy and trade-offs to senior leadership.
- Build systems for AI-powered document processing, automated loan servicing, policy execution, and blockchain-based transaction recording.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong record of shipping production systems.
- Deep proficiency in at least one area such as backend services, frontend UIs, AI/ML systems, blockchain, or data infrastructure, with the ability to work across other layers.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API design.
- Experience with some combination of Java, Python, React, Kafka, Oracle, Snowflake, and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Fluency with AI-assisted software development using coding agents such as Codex and Claude.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, or AI/ML integration is preferred.
- Familiarity with blockchain, smart contracts, or on-chain transaction systems is preferred.
- Financial services or capital markets experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to prioritize building, shipping, prototyping, working code, and measurable results.
