Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical solution architecture for scalable, fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
- Lead implementation of Java backend services and modern React, Angular, or TypeScript frontend applications.
- Drive cloud migration, containerization, Kubernetes/OpenShift orchestration, and resilient multi-region deployment patterns.
- Design and govern REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs and asynchronous event-streaming integrations.
- Lead relational and NoSQL database design, query optimization, data modeling, and distributed caching.
- Champion CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, and DevSecOps engineering practices.
- Implement observability, SRE practices, service-level objectives, incident analysis, and preventative corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, regulatory, risk, audit, and data-governance requirements.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and technical workshops, and partner on hiring and career development.
- Collaborate with product, business, architecture, operations, and senior stakeholders on roadmaps, risks, estimates, and release strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Principal Engineering capacity.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Expertise with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, microservices, and modern frontend development.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containers, orchestration, APIs, messaging, databases, caching, CI/CD, testing, security, and observability technologies listed in the posting.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, asynchronous messaging, reactive systems, resiliency, disaster recovery, and SRE practices.
- Ability to lead distributed engineering squads, mentor engineers, communicate architectural trade-offs, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with security, regulatory compliance, data governance, architecture reviews, threat modeling, and audit preparation.
