Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, document, and improve software test suites.
- Perform manual and automated testing in simulation and on physical semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Analyze engineering designs and software outcomes, providing feedback on quality, effectiveness, and performance.
- Automate and maintain QA processes that integrate with CI/CD development workflows.
- Create and manage test plans and test cases for software enhancements and defect fixes.
- Develop and implement quality standards, methods, and procedures.
- Learn and test systems spanning mechanical, electrical, and software functionality.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering to test systems, identify appropriate usage, define enhancements, and improve quality.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, software testing, or test automation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, test case management tool, or issue-tracking software.
- Hands-on experience in System Quality Assurance or System Quality Engineering involving complex electromechanical equipment with integrated software controls, semiconductor equipment, or high-tech equipment manufacturing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel 10–25% of the time.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Test Complete, or TestRail is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or C# is a plus.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment, configuration management, software versioning, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, and AI-assisted development tools or large language models is valued.
