Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support secure, scalable, highly available Java applications and REST services using Spring and Spring Boot.
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Use GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for source control, automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Build security into the software development lifecycle and remediate vulnerabilities identified by CodeQL, Dependabot, Wiz, and other tools.
- Implement application logging with Splunk and support monitoring, troubleshooting, and observability.
- Provide production support and collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders to improve reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 9+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful services and APIs, with hands-on AWS development and deployment experience.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of application security, including secure coding, authentication and authorization, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with CodeQL, Dependabot, Wiz, and Splunk.
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, metrics, and alerting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex production issues and effective collaboration with technical and product stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
