Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of SAS solutions on IBM Mainframe z/OS platforms.
- Drive SAS modernization, automation, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Design integrations with DB2, IMS, VSAM, COBOL, and JCL for enterprise data processing.
- Optimize batch workloads, scheduling, and production operations for reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
- Lead modernization initiatives, provide architectural guidance, mentor teams, and support production environments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAS development, administration, and production support environments.
- Strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies including z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and COBOL.
- Experience leading mainframe architecture, technical solution design, and large-scale batch processing environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Base SAS, SAS Macro, SAS SQL, SAS/ACCESS, Enterprise Guide, and SAS Management Console.
- Understanding of enterprise data architecture, ETL frameworks, data warehousing, governance, metadata management, and performance tuning.
- Preferred experience with SAS Viya migration, platform modernization, cloud integration, API enablement, and hybrid architecture solutions.
- Preferred knowledge of Python, Shell Scripting, and Ansible.
- Preferred experience integrating mainframe data assets with cloud and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Leadership experience in production support, incident management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and team mentoring.
