Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support secure, scalable, highly available Java applications and REST services using Spring/Spring Boot.
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Use GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for source control, automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Build security into the SDLC and remediate vulnerabilities identified by CodeQL, Dependabot, Wiz, and other tools.
- Implement application logging with Splunk and support monitoring, troubleshooting, observability, metrics, and alerting.
- Provide production support and collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to improve reliability and performance.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of software development experience with strong hands-on Java and Spring/Spring Boot expertise.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful services and APIs, with hands-on AWS development and deployment experience.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of application security, including secure coding, authentication and authorization, vulnerability management, CodeQL, Dependabot, and Wiz.
- Experience with Splunk for logging and troubleshooting, plus knowledge of observability, monitoring, metrics, and alerting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex production issues and effective collaboration with technical and product stakeholders.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
