Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term vision and strategy for the global architecture of the core credit card platform.
- Lead strategic partnerships with Product and Business leadership to shape the technical roadmap.
- Act as a technical and cultural reference, mentoring other engineers and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Resolve high-risk technical challenges and drive execution for multi-system solutions.
- Design and oversee complex system transformations ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Communicate the technical strategy to executive boards and translate architecture decisions into business value.
Requirements
- Principal/Staff Engineer level experience with a history in architecting high-volume systems in fintech or e-commerce.
- Expert proficiency in multiple programming paradigms, especially functional programming.
- Proven ability to lead long-term technical strategy for platform ecosystems.
- Experience in navigating architecture in regulated financial environments.
- History of leading large-scale platform transformations managing risks.
- In-depth knowledge of credit card/payment systems design is a significant differential.
