Base Salary

$82k - $187k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate anomalous user behavior across networks, applications, and endpoints to identify insider threats.
  • Build, maintain, and automate detection and response tools and analytics for potentially malicious activity.
  • Deploy and tune data loss prevention technologies covering data at rest, in motion, and in use.
  • Build, deploy, and operate AI-enabled capabilities for DLP investigations, detection, triage, and response.
  • Conduct security incident investigations, root cause analyses, threat hunting, and digital-security case management.
  • Document investigations, prepare reports and metrics, and improve detection tools, response processes, and operational playbooks.
  • Support targeted security awareness and training focused on reducing data security risk.
  • Coordinate incident response and policy enforcement with HR, legal, compliance, physical security, SOC, forensics, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in insider threat, DLP, incident response, and/or security operations center activities at a cloud service provider for the IC3 level.
  • Experience with DLP tools, including data-at-rest, data-in-motion, and data-in-use technologies.
  • Experience analyzing logs and telemetry such as antivirus, web server, and SIEM data.
  • Experience investigating sophisticated threat actors and complex security incidents.
  • Understanding of insider-threat tactics, techniques, and procedures and threat-analysis models such as the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Experience developing and hunting with DLP-related indicators of compromise.
  • Experience with technologies used to exfiltrate data and conducting open-source research.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to nontechnical staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an ambiguous, fast-paced, unpredictable, event-driven operations environment.

  • US base salary range is $82,200–$187,000 per year, with possible bonus and equity.
