Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade Rust smart contracts for Stellar using Soroban and for Solana.
- Own smart contract modules through design, deployment, lifecycle management, and ongoing maintenance.
- Lead code reviews and contribute to security assessments, audit readiness, and risk mitigation.
- Develop testing strategies, automated test frameworks, deployment pipelines, reusable contract libraries, and quality gates.
- Integrate smart contracts with platform, backend, frontend, and web application services.
- Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis for smart contract issues.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders on technical requirements and system architecture.
- Mentor Associate engineers and share blockchain and smart contract expertise with technical and nontechnical teams.
- Monitor blockchain, cryptographic, and smart contract developments to identify and mitigate security threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on Rust development experience.
- 1+ years of experience developing smart contracts or blockchain-based applications, including Rust smart contracts in production.
- Strong understanding of blockchain security, distributed systems, and cryptographic principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, secure software-delivery practices, software development lifecycles, and quality engineering.
- Experience with manual and automated testing of REST APIs, web applications, microservices, distributed systems, blockchain platforms, smart contracts, and on-chain/off-chain transaction workflows.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Knowledge of defect tracking, test management, reporting, performance testing, security testing, and resiliency testing.
- Experience with permissioned blockchain networks or AppChains; Hyperledger Besu or comparable enterprise blockchain experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or comparable automation tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
