Base Salary
$130k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain technology protecting SpaceX systems, networks, and data.
- Stand up authentication, identity, multifactor authentication, and network access control services.
- Automate identity lifecycle processes for Information Security and partner organizations.
- Run backend infrastructure supporting network security services.
- Operate web application firewalls and other application-level security controls.
- Enforce cloud security policy, centralized configuration, and monitoring.
- Identify security threats and gaps and ship software and deployment changes that reduce risk.
- Document and operate scalable, repeatable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
- Coordinate with information security, physical security, IT, HR, legal, software, and other partner teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Experience writing, shipping, and operating secure software.
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, macOS system internals, PKI, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, TPMs, HSMs, TCP/IP, UDP, web APIs, HTTP-RPC, and REST.
- Experience hardening Windows, Linux, and macOS to enterprise security controls.
- Experience with macOS and Windows code signing and enterprise application deployment.
- Ability to perform root-cause debugging under time pressure.
- Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
Benefits
- Onsite role; hybrid or remote work is not considered.
- Base salary range is $130,000-$165,000 for Level 1 and $150,000-$200,000 for Level 2.
