Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and procedures for embedded software in power tool applications.
- Validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and system behavior against requirements and design specifications.
- Perform unit, integration, system, regression, and white-box testing across the software lifecycle.
- Design and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, support root-cause investigations, and verify corrective actions.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, bench, and system-level testing.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and validation results.
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and validation summaries.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to improved testing methods, processes, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited electrical or automation engineering college.
- At least 8 years of experience in embedded software testing, preferably with motor control systems such as PWM and PID.
- Proficiency with LabVIEW and programming languages including C and C++, plus scripting with Python.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging equipment.
- Familiarity with embedded software development processes, version control, unit testing, and bug tracking.
- Knowledge of unit, integration, system, regression, and white-box testing.
- Ability to analyze complex technical situations, communicate effectively with internal and overseas teams, and mentor junior engineers.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
