Responsibilities
- Develop, model, implement, and maintain software and subsystem interfaces for biomedical and scientific computing.
- Apply parallel computing techniques and develop algorithms for highly parallel computer structures.
- Design software for computational chemistry, structural biology, genomic analysis, graphics, databases, modeling, simulation, and data presentation.
- Develop advanced machine learning algorithms and deep learning-based data ingest and transformation infrastructure.
- Build and maintain informatics infrastructure for automated high-throughput screening data collection.
- Coordinate data storage and mining with NCBI and informatics groups, and analyze large volumes of assay and screening data.
- Establish functional requirements, investigate software architectures, improve software reusability and portability, and analyze system performance.
- Collaborate with investigators, biologists, chemists, engineers, and scientists on research projects and software subsystems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- At least seven years of experience in a related field.
- Extensive experience with one or more programming languages.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
