Base Salary

$66k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications for B2B and B2C tutoring platforms.
  • Build scalable Node.js microservices and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Implement frontend state management and styling with Redux, Bootstrap, and Tailwind.
  • Use AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, relational databases, and OpenSearch to build and optimize backend services and search capabilities.
  • Write and maintain unit tests for frontend and backend applications.
  • Analyze logs, debug applications, triage technical issues, and implement immediate and long-term improvements.
  • Review code, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, product management, UX designers, technical leadership, and related engineering teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software development experience and 5+ years working on fast-paced Agile teams.
  • At least 5 years of experience with microservice patterns, 3 years with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and 1 year with AWS.
  • Strong full-stack development proficiency, including Node.js, frontend technologies, distributed architectures, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization technologies including Okta, OAuth 2.0, OpenID, and SAML.
  • Experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, New Relic, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems, triage code or data issues, and address cross-browser support issues.
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time and clear a required background check.
  • Preferred qualifications include a BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, SaaS development experience, familiarity with emerging web and open-source technologies, and experience with Shopify, Salesforce, Snowflake, or Power BI.

  • The stated salary range is $66,379.50-$170,037.60, with offers typically in the bottom half of the range and varying by location, experience, education, and other factors.
