Base Salary

$160k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own technical delivery for federal deployments from first prototype through stable production.
  • Embed with federal customers to design and build mission-critical applications powered by Deepgram Voice AI models.
  • Lead technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, proposal support, and complex federal pre-sales engagements.
  • Prototype and build full-stack integrations using Python, JavaScript, Rust, or comparable technologies.
  • Deliver observable systems spanning infrastructure through applications across customer environments.
  • Guide federal stakeholders on operational value, performance optimization, and deployment strategies.
  • Scope and sequence work, remove blockers, and balance scope, speed, and quality.
  • Build relationships with customer leadership and technical stakeholders to support successful deployment and scale.
  • Contribute directly to code when needed to maintain clarity or momentum.
  • Create reusable tools, playbooks, reference architectures, automation, documentation, and building blocks.
  • Share field feedback with Product and Engineering to influence model and product development.
  • Escalate and resolve complex technical issues and analyze deployment patterns to identify product and federal go-to-market opportunities.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of engineering or technical deployment experience, ideally in customer-facing or government environments.
  • Professional software development experience in at least one modern programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience scoping and delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
  • Experience building and deploying production systems in government or similarly constrained environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with technical, non-technical, and senior government stakeholders.
  • Track record navigating complex federal sales or procurement cycles.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including on-site work at government facilities.
  • Preferred experience includes speech recognition, NLP, AI or voice agents, cloud deployment models, Kubernetes, Terraform, LLMs or generative models, FedRAMP, FISMA, API-first products, developer tools, MEDDIC, Solution Selling, automation, self-service tools, and technical documentation.
