Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate secure, reliable, scalable production-grade software and services.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, define success metrics, and translate business needs into technical designs.
- Drive engineering practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, documentation, and security and compliance requirements.
- Deliver customer outcomes end-to-end by prototyping, iterating with feedback, and meeting quality, performance, and maintainability goals.
- Build reusable components, reference implementations, and shared engineering patterns.
- Lead technical workstreams, align stakeholders, break down ambiguous problems, and drive execution through delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, design, security, and domain experts in a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including maintaining an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship is required where applicable due to citizenship-based legal restrictions for government customers.
- Preferred: Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Experience partnering directly with customers or internal stakeholders to deliver solutions end-to-end.
- Preferred: Experience deploying and operating AI systems, AI or LLM-based solutions, or cloud AI platforms such as Azure ML or OpenAI.
- Preferred: Knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented approaches, model tuning, evaluation, data quality, and performance monitoring.
Benefits
- Base pay is listed at USD $119,800–$234,700 per year across the U.S.; San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations have a separate range of USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
