SS&C TechnologiesResponsibilities
- Maintain the reliability and performance of critical systems and in-house platforms.
- Participate in incident response, production support, post-incident reviews, and documenting operational learnings.
- Define and monitor Service Level Objectives and reliability metrics.
- Perform deployments into production and non-production hosted environments.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures for newly created environments and platforms.
- Build automation and tooling to reduce manual work and improve observability.
- Support infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, logging, alerting, and reliability-focused solutions.
- Participate in supervised on-call rotations and collaborate with senior SREs and engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of total industry support and engineering experience, including at least 1 year in an SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering role.
- Familiarity with operational concepts, incident management, and monitoring or observability practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AWS or Azure; private cloud or hybrid environment exposure is a bonus.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server administration, Docker, and basic Kubernetes.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with GitHub, Octopus Deploy, or equivalent CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with Linux shell and PowerShell scripting.
- Exposure to Site24x7, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls and security groups.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independent-work, learning, and business-awareness skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and develop incident response expertise.
