Responsibilities
- Define and evolve target architecture for customer retention, marketing, loyalty, and customer care across all channels.
- Design customer data flows, canonical models, customer 360 capabilities, golden records, and identity resolution across systems.
- Architect integrations among CRM systems, customer data platforms, marketing automation, loyalty, POS, e-commerce, and analytics platforms.
- Establish and govern API, event, data, schema, security, and contract-first standards across product teams.
- Shape architecture for scalability, availability, resilience, observability, and security during peak retail volumes.
- Translate CRM, marketing, and loyalty business strategies into roadmaps and solution designs.
- Provide architectural guidance across discovery, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and hyper care, including design and code reviews.
- Implement governance for consent, preferences, privacy compliance, data quality, deduplication, matching, anti-fraud, and sanctions compliance.
- Contribute to capability mapping, portfolio rationalization, build-versus-buy decisions, reference architectures, standards, and architecture decision records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture or closely related roles.
- At least 2 years of hands-on software development experience using Java, .NET, or a similar language.
- Strong knowledge of customer master data management, CRM, CDP, identity resolution, consent and preference management, segmentation, personalization, and loyalty programs.
- Proficiency in REST, GraphQL, event-driven messaging or streaming, publish/subscribe patterns, batch or ETL, API gateways, event schema management, and contract-first design.
- Experience integrating cloud and SaaS platforms on at least one major cloud.
- Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, tokenization, PII protection, role-based access, auditability, and privacy-by-design such as GDPR.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder alignment, and English-language skills.
- Retail or consumer-facing experience is preferred; German language skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
