Base Salary
$160k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cloud solutions on AWS and GCP, including networking, security, storage, compute, authentication, and hybrid infrastructure components.
- Lead project execution by estimating effort, breaking work into tasks, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering projects on time and budget.
- Design scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures for cloud-only and hybrid on-premises environments.
- Automate cloud deployments and infrastructure provisioning using Terragrunt, Terraform, Python, and Ansible.
- Manage cloud security controls including account management, access controls, firewalls, authentication, authorization, and threat detection.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and costs, troubleshoot issues, improve resource utilization, and create dashboards and alerting mechanisms.
- Perform post-incident analysis, root-cause analysis, proof-of-concept development, architecture reviews, project kickoffs, and post-mortems.
- Provide technical thought leadership, communicate cloud engineering best practices, and guide internal customers and partners through modern cloud and video solutions.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of AWS and GCP services, including security, networking, IAM, authentication protocols, account management, and application services.
- Experience solving capacity challenges through dynamic scaling, containerization or serverless approaches, redundancy, high availability, and hybrid connectivity using services such as Direct Connect or AWS Outposts.
- Understanding of centralized and distributed infrastructure architecture models and experience building scalable, reliable, and secure IT systems.
- Mastery of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and expert troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Hands-on experience with at least two programming languages; the technical test requires Python and Terraform experience.
- Experience writing infrastructure as code with Terragrunt and/or Terraform, building deployment pipelines, and enabling self-service.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a BS or equivalent, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or related professional certifications, Google Cloud or Azure knowledge, and media and entertainment experience.
