Base Salary

$110k - $140k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable platform services and capabilities using Temporal Cloud.
  • Develop SDKs, libraries, templates, and reference implementations for Temporal adoption.
  • Partner with application teams on reliable long-running workflows and application integrations.
  • Build automation to improve developer productivity, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement observability solutions covering metrics, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing.
  • Establish enterprise workflow development standards, best practices, and governance.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering, security, architecture, and product teams.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement lasting improvements.
  • Contribute to platform roadmaps, technical documentation, and developer education.

Requirements

  • Experience developing software with TypeScript, Go, Java, or another modern programming language.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, distributed systems, and API development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: experience with platform engineering or internal developer platforms.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications.
  • Preferred: experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Amazon SQS.
  • Preferred: understanding of retries, circuit breakers, idempotency, eventual consistency, and secure software development practices.
  • Experience with Angular or a comparable frontend framework is preferred.

  • Potential starting salary range of $110,000–$140,000, plus potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary.
