Responsibilities
- Develop tools, flows, and methodologies to improve the productivity and reliability of memory designs.
- Integrate commercial EDA tools into design flows.
- Provide training, documentation, and end-user support for new tools and methods.
- Conduct independent research and development of next-generation CAD software for product development needs.
- Identify deficiencies in current tools and flows and evaluate opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
- Evaluate tools with internal customers and define flows that improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Develop, maintain, and support engineering infrastructure.
- Collaborate with design, layout, verification, process, and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Strong programming fundamentals with experience in Unix and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of CMOS circuits, deep-submicron physical design, CMOS manufacturing, and layout design rules.
- Experience with Calibre DRC/LVS, floorplanning, automated place-and-route, and SPF extraction layout flows.
- Experience with Verilog, Verilog-A, ncverilog, VCS, Spice/FastSpice, FineSim/PrimeSim, and HSPICE.
- Experience with RTL-to-GDS flows.
- Preferred: experience with Cadence Virtuoso DFII and SKILL programming.
- Preferred: proficiency with Python and Python Qt frameworks.
- Preferred: bachelor’s or master’s degree in CE, EE, or EECS with 5+ years of industry experience.
