Base Salary

$187k - $233k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and debugging of enterprise capabilities for Fivetran's largest customers.
  • Manage and lead multiple projects, coordinating with stakeholders for timely delivery.
  • Maintain and improve existing enterprise features and advocate for codebase enhancements.
  • Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects to create innovative solutions.
  • Work to make Fivetran a reliable and secure component of customer data infrastructure.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and advocate for new tools and methodologies.
  • Assist Customer Success and GTM teams in challenging customer situations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the software industry with a focus on complex engineering problems.
  • Strong knowledge of OOP, preferably in Java.
  • Experience in database and query performance tuning.
  • Ability to write well-structured and performant code.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering large projects.
  • Proficient in defining project requirements and designing software solutions.
  • Experience in breaking down customer requirements into engineering tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to unlock valuable use cases.
  • Ability to suggest and implement improvements in existing code.
  • Understanding of high-performance systems and processes.
  • Enjoy mentoring junior developers.
  • Strong analytical mindset to identify design flaws.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Knowledge of observability tools like New Relic and Grafana is a plus.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools like Buildkite/Circle CI.
  • Experience in cloud environments using AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker.
