Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize the Snowflake platform, including architecture, compute, performance, scalability, workload management, and platform health.
- Drive Snowflake cost optimization, utilization tracking, capacity planning, and FinOps practices.
- Build platform provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operational automation using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage Snowflake security, RBAC, networking, governance, data integrity, access control, and compliance.
- Enable data, AI, and ML teams with scalable and reliable data platform capabilities.
- Establish platform monitoring, observability, and production support practices.
- Partner with engineering teams on complex performance, scalability, and platform challenges.
- Follow confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake platform engineering and administration, including architecture, compute, storage, performance tuning, and workload management.
- Experience with Snowflake security, RBAC, networking, governance, cost optimization, FinOps, utilization, and capacity management.
- Strong SQL, troubleshooting, automation, scripting, and production engineering skills.
- Experience with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tooling and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Strong focus on automation, reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- AWS or other cloud platform experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting AI and ML data workloads and modern Snowflake AI and ML capabilities is preferred.
- Snowflake certification is preferred.
