Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver core components of Aerovy’s cloud platform for real-time applications.
- Own features and delivery end-to-end, from requirements and technical design through launch.
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions across multiple systems and teams.
- Derive actionable engineering requirements from customer needs, market data, and product strategy.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed services and software infrastructure.
- Own the reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance of critical production systems.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, business, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to the platform ’s long-term technical vision and roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least five years of industry experience.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservice architectures, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Extensive experience with cloud, infrastructure-as-code, and infrastructure tooling, preferably AWS.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance services and software infrastructure using AWS or equivalent cloud services.
- Proven ability to lead technical design and architecture discussions across multiple systems and teams.
- Proven track record of shipping scalable, secure, and high-performance production systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Docker and containerized applications, real-time or near-real-time analytics, time-series databases, and MQTT.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
