Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver core components of Aerovy’s cloud-native platform and high-performance production services.
- Own features and delivery end-to-end, from requirements and technical design through launch.
- Lead architecture and technical design discussions across multiple systems and teams.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers while driving engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical features and services.
- Own the reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance of critical production systems.
- Translate customer requirements, market data, and product strategy into actionable engineering requirements.
- Contribute to the platform’s long-term technical vision and roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Five or more years of industry experience.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservice architectures, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Extensive experience with cloud, infrastructure-as-code, and infrastructure tooling, preferably AWS.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance services and software infrastructure using AWS or equivalent cloud services.
- Proven ability to lead technical design and architecture discussions across systems and teams.
- Experience applying engineering best practices including monitoring, testing, and code quality.
- Proven track record of shipping scalable, secure, and high-performance production systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Docker and containerized applications, real-time analytics, time-series databases, and MQTT.
