Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, debug, and document complex information systems and mobile applications.
- Build reusable React Native components and maintain customer-facing enterprise applications for iOS and Android.
- Integrate APIs and third-party services, including native device capabilities such as push notifications, biometrics, and device APIs.
- Optimize application capacity, response time, operating time, and performance across devices.
- Develop system and program test plans and data verification methods.
- Respond to system failures and performance events, reduce downtime, and prevent recurrence of problems.
- Publish applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Provide technical expertise to development staff and contribute through code reviews and engineering best practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation of one week every six to seven weeks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is required.
- At least five years of systems and programming experience is required.
- At least one year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards is required.
- At least one year of expert working knowledge of a programming language in use at BCBST is required.
- Strong React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, React architecture, state management, cross-platform mobile development, and performance optimization experience.
- Experience publishing applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Experience with native mobile development using Swift, Kotlin, or Java and with native integrations such as push notifications, biometrics, and device APIs.
- Experience using Postman or Fiddler for API debugging and with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven analysis, design, coding, leadership, communication, and large-project execution skills.
- Ability to interpret and translate technical or complex concepts for technical and business audiences and manage multiple tasks reliably.
