Base Salary
$139k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical design, architecture, vision, and implementation strategy for major distributed Query Engine systems and components.
- Build, code, test, deploy, and own critical cloud data platform services operating at scale.
- Extend the Apache Spark codebase and develop analytical capabilities using Spark and Spark ML.
- Collaborate with architects, architecture teams, and cross-functional Adobe teams to drive initiatives end to end.
- Review features, technologies, architectures, designs, and test strategies while mitigating risks and solving complex problems.
- Develop and evolve engineering practices to optimize team efficiency.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Apache Spark, Spark ML, Spark internals, and extending the Spark codebase for analytical needs.
- Proficiency in data structures and algorithms using Scala, Java, and the Akka framework.
- Proven experience developing and deploying highly available SaaS applications and services in public cloud environments.
- Proficiency in big-data engineering and cloud-based data warehouses.
- In-depth experience with NoSQL, relational database management systems, data warehouses, data sharing, and data federation.
- Awareness of computation and memory costs, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with seven years of experience, or a master’s/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a relevant field with five or more years of experience.
- Experience with LLMs or vertical LLMs for product intelligence use cases such as SQL rewriting, anomaly detection, and forecasting is a plus.
