Base Salary

$190k - $361k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Set long-term architectural and technology direction for Adobe Stock in alignment with product, technical, and business strategy.
  • Assess strategic objectives for architectural feasibility, dependencies, risks, tradeoffs, investments, and execution paths.
  • Lead architecture for large-scale systems supporting content search, discovery, delivery, licensing, generative AI, agentic workflows, and customer experiences.
  • Define architectural patterns and standards for APIs, microservices, frontend architecture, event-driven systems, data platforms, and cross-product integrations.
  • Identify systemic technical risks and architectural gaps and establish mitigation plans with leaders.
  • Communicate architectural direction, decisions, risks, and investment needs to senior executives and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor architects and technical leads and strengthen systems thinking, technical judgment, and communication.

Requirements

  • 20 or more years of experience in software engineering and platform architecture.
  • Expertise in distributed systems, networked and event-driven architectures, APIs, frontend architecture, data platforms, cloud-native technologies, and systems integration.
  • Experience designing systems with demanding performance, scalability, reliability, security, privacy, observability, and operational-efficiency requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex decisions and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred experience with content platforms, digital-asset systems, marketplaces, search and discovery systems, or large-scale media-processing workflows.
  • Preferred experience developing Agentic AI systems and solutions and working in highly matrixed, enterprise-scale environments.
  • An advanced degree such as an M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Benefits

  • U.S. annual base pay range is $190,200–$360,500, with a California range of $248,900–$360,500; compensation varies by work location and qualifications.
  • Non-sales roles may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan and certain roles may receive long-term incentives through a new-hire equity award.
