Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend systems that ingest and process unstructured documents from customer ERPs and inboxes, including large-scale PDF pipelines.
- Develop LLM-powered agents that complete complex compliance and food safety documents end to end.
- Own product features across backend services and the user interface.
- Work directly with the founding team on major product decisions and iterate quickly based on real user feedback.
Requirements
- Demonstrated history of shipping products or major features used by real users, including the ability to explain tradeoffs and lessons learned.
- Full-stack capability to take features from backend services through the UI independently.
- Production experience with LLM-powered features or agents, ideally involving multiple model providers.
- Strong backend engineering skills involving unstructured data ingestion and processing and relational schema design with Postgres or an equivalent database.
- Experience with or ability to ramp quickly on Kotlin, Spring Boot, React, Next.js, and cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Document processing, PDF parsing, or unstructured data extraction experience is a strong plus.
- Early-stage startup or founding engineer experience, or demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and broad ownership.
- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
Benefits
- Base salary of $200,000 to $300,000 annually.
- Equity of 0.5% to 2%.
- Fully on-site in San Francisco five days per week.
