Lead Software Engineer- Distributed Systems

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, debugging, testing, and operation of resilient distributed Edge Control Plane and Edge Intelligence services.
- Build and operate reliable, self-healing services that support global scale, traffic distribution, and optimized connectivity.
- Balance live-site management, feature delivery, and technical debt reduction across complex cloud systems.
- Resolve complex technical issues and drive improvements to system availability, resilience, performance, and operational excellence.
- Own and operate mission-critical infrastructure services, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications.
- Use telemetry, metrics, automation, and data-driven feedback to improve services and deliver functionality incrementally.
- Create, maintain, and share technical documentation for engineers and other team members.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented language, preferably Java.
- Solid knowledge of database technologies, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
- Experience designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems and large complex cloud systems.
- Experience with public cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, Alibaba, and/or Azure.
- Experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helios, Fleet, or Mesos.
- Experience owning and operating multiple instances of mission-critical infrastructure services, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications.
- Experience using telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence and familiarity with Agile development and testing.
- Preferred experience with open source projects, SOAP/REST APIs, API design, network technologies, Spark, Kafka, Druid, and Jenkins CI/CD.
