Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead critical architectural decisions and oversee complex technical implementations.
- Own large-scale, multi-team technical initiatives and drive resolution of complex engineering challenges.
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable, high-availability software systems.
- Make autonomous, high-impact technical decisions and evaluate system trade-offs.
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, engineering, customer support, and operations teams.
- Mentor engineers and establish organization-wide technical standards and best practices.
- Champion quality assurance practices and deliver robust, high-performance software.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Java software development, particularly for product applications.
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating highly scalable systems.
- Proven experience solving complex system design challenges at scale.
- Expertise in API design and RESTful services using frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Jersey.
- Strong command of object-oriented programming design principles and practices.
- Proficiency in relational database design and development.
- In-depth knowledge of quality testing practices and a record of delivering high-quality software.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Kotlin is preferred, with 2+ years listed as a plus.
- Experience with caching systems, particularly Redis, is preferred.
