Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for software functionality and quality standards.
- Design and execute functional, non-functional, regression, integration, API, automation, SIT, and UAT testing.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts and continuously improve test suites and regression coverage.
- Prepare test scenarios and cases, execute tests, report results, and log and verify defects.
- Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to resolve defects.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design discussions, acceptance-criteria development, code reviews, and quality governance.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration, automated regression execution, documentation, traceability, and QA process improvements.
- Communicate test progress, risks, defects, and outcomes to business, technology, QA, development, and stakeholder teams.
Requirements
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance, test automation, or related technology delivery roles.
- Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, software development lifecycle, and testing processes, techniques, and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, API, and automation testing.
- Knowledge of test design, estimation, scenario creation, case preparation, execution, defect management, verification, and reporting.
- Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, REST Assured, Karate, AutomatePro, or equivalent tools.
- Working knowledge of Java, Python, or similar programming or scripting technologies.
- Understanding of BDD concepts and practical automation development and execution experience.
- Awareness of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Jenkins or equivalent pipeline tools.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, or equivalent source-code control tools.
- Experience with JIRA, ALM, Xray, Zephyr, ServiceNow, or equivalent test and defect management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working independently in an Agile environment with strong attention to quality, governance, documentation, traceability, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred experience in banking, financial services, risk, controls, compliance, regulatory, investment banking, ServiceNow, IRM, enterprise risk systems, QA process improvement, automation strategy, or quality engineering.
- Domain, testing, or technical certifications such as ISTQB, Selenium, Agile, or DevOps are advantageous.
