Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute security projects independently.
- Apply best practices in software, network, and infrastructure engineering.
- Review existing deployments for security improvements.
- Collaborate with teams to design and develop security solutions.
- Engage in Data Center and Network Security initiatives.
- Document findings and conduct threat assessments.
- Develop automation for security aspects of cloud and virtualized deployments.
- Provide metrics on the Cyber Security posture.
- Mentor team members and transfer knowledge.
- Monitor and correct system security issues proactively.
- Develop scripts for security checks and automation.
- Create operational and troubleshooting documentation.
- Consult on security best practices for network management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience, or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
- 8+ years of related experience preferred.
- 2+ years in vulnerability management.
- High proficiency in cloud/virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Lustre, Kerberos, and Linux Administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with patching and hardening systems.
- Proficient in Network Protocols and Firewall Management.
- Strong understanding of Cyber Security Standards like ISO27001 and NIST 800-53.
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture principles is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
