Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain enterprise software for the Quantitative Analytics Engineering team.
  • Translate business problems and system requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Build software using Java, web technologies, relational databases, distributed storage, messaging, caching, cloud computing, and data management technologies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical supervisors, specialists, and distributed teams across time zones and countries.
  • Develop testable software and follow software development, unit testing, CI/CD, and other engineering practices.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing complex enterprise software systems.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science from an accredited university.
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills and implementation experience using Java.
  • Knowledge and experience with relational databases such as MySQL and Sybase.
  • Strong investigative, problem-solving, communication, and data-focused skills.
  • Knowledge or strong interest in finance and ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
  • Experience working across the software development lifecycle and with geographically distributed teams.
  • Preferred experience with Angular, React, TypeScript, NoSQL and distributed storage technologies such as Cassandra and HBase.
  • Preferred experience developing large-scale distributed and streaming systems with frameworks such as Ignite.
  • Preferred experience with enterprise search technologies such as Splunk.
