Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy applied AI/ML solutions for simulation workflows, internal tools, and mission-critical engineering use cases.
  • Move solutions from early research and rapid prototyping to robust, maintainable production systems.
  • Collaborate with simulation, scenario-generation, data, and engineering teams to identify and deliver AI opportunities.
  • Fine-tune, adapt, optimize, evaluate, and ship multimodal and 3D models as production systems.
  • Lead projects end-to-end with minimal guidance and contribute to architecture and multi-quarter technical initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field is required; PhD is preferred.
  • 5+ years of applied ML/AI engineering experience, including at least 2 years delivering production AI systems at scale.
  • Experience building VLM and ML world models across sensor-to-sensor and sensor-to-3D workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one modern multimodal or 3D computer vision pipeline, such as NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, world models, or diffusion-based generation.
  • Strong Python programming skills and experience with a modern ML/AI library such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, or gsplat.
  • Understanding of data preprocessing, training pipelines, evaluation metrics, and model performance optimization.
  • Experience fine-tuning and optimizing foundation models such as LLMs, VLMs, diffusion models, or 3D neural models is preferred.
  • Experience integrating models into simulation, robotics, mapping, or autonomous-vehicle perception systems is preferred.
  • Experience with scene understanding, computational geometry, 3D geometry, graphics, or sensor modeling is preferred.
  • Experience with vector search/RAG systems, embedding pipelines, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and production observability is preferred.
  • Prior mentoring, architecture definition, and technical initiative leadership experience is preferred.
